Smart taxi driver narrates how he got 2 scammers with fake 50 Ghana cedi notes arrested after they duped a woman from Tajik Cote D'voire who has come to Kumasi to trade of her CFAs

Smart taxi driver narrates how he got 2 scammers with fake 50 Ghana cedi notes arrested after they duped a woman from Tajik Cote D'voire who has come to Kumasi to trade of her CFAs

This is how Kofi Odum Gya, a taxi driver who operates in Kumasi smartly got 2 scammers with fake 50 Ghana cedi notes arrested after they duped a woman from Tajik Cote D'voire who has come to Kumasi to trade of her CFAs.

"Pls read and be warned against these smart guys..

2guys chartered my taxi from Adum and ordered me to take them to Santase still in Kumasi.. I was the one driving but they were trying to control my movements ,eg,pass here, dodge this road, use this side and be smart.. I became soon suspicious and quickly started to see them as criminals...

"I told them I was a town boy and knows the corners corners ɛnti they should patiently watch me as I drive them to the exact place they wanted to be and maybe few minutes after their scheduled time sake of traffic.
Boys calmed down and were now looking like prisoners already. I thought within myself and said these guys must be searched. We continued the rounds and I came out with a suggestion to pass through the Kath emergency route so they agreed but the security man at the gate refused that we went to use the soldier's gate. Guys looked confused so I charged them up and said we should use the other gate as suggested by the Gateman.

"Now we got to the soldiers gate and I saw a soldier that I know very well so I shouted his name and pretended as if it's been long that I saw him so lemme go shake his hand but with a different intention.
Here, I smartly reported to him that those 2guys behaved as if they were "armedless robbers" . Verily verily, when he, together with another soldier interrogated them, these were the kind of papers found in their bag..(fake papers) not money mpo, just that they had the Ghc50 inscriptions on them

"When the heat got hotter, they confessed of haven duped a woman at Adum of her CFA. which when converted into Ghana Cedis, will amount to "Ghc4000" 40million...the soldier was off duty so we moved to where they claim the woman was met and behold, she was still narrating her story to a grown up man there, see them in the picture with the smile signs..

"Everything was done silently that much people didn't here of it until the woman started saying the guys must be put in cells and given years to serve according to the number of fake papers "currencies" they gave her in exchange for her CFA.she came from Tajik roots a suburb of Cote D'voire to buy some items from the Central Market oooo(she is a trader)

"In fact, the situation was handled calmly that they ended up being reported to one of the toughest custody's here in kumasi, not even near Adum... The most painful part of it was that, these guys gave their ages as (21 & 19years).... Meanwhile, I have closed for the day

"The woman is now behaving as if they stole her (fish head) inside her soup.. Don't know if she will sleep at the police station too. Me deɛ, I'm going home, will call to find out what's next later..........

"Scammers, scammers scammers..... Today, you are for the police wai"

Dead popular Ghanaian chop bar woman in Kumasi made to pound fufu during her own funeral
Information gathered from some Ghanaian netizens indicate the dead Ghanaian woman was a popular 'fufu' chop bar operator in Kumasi who had manned this business for decades, and when she was alive she requested that in the event of her demise they should make her sit on a chair and pound fufu by herself without the help of anyone as the mourners file past her body instead of the usual laying in a coffin.

Fufu (mixture of cooked cassava, yam or cocoyam and plantain pounded together) is a staple food of the natives of Ashanti Region of Ghana with Kumasi as their capital.

Nwansina (Houseflies) so what? Let Rashida Black Beauty be before suicide fall on her

Nwansina (Houseflies) so what? Let Rashida Black Beauty be before suicide fall on her
LET RASHIDA BLACK BEAUTY BE BEFORE SUICIDE FALL ON HER

I feel very bad for Rashida Black Beauty and very much afraid of what she might do to herself in the not too distant future. Her council must keep an eagle eye on her and on wherever she goes till she fully gets over THIS big pain of her nude video making rounds and the thoughts of it not going away in her lifetime and also it coming back to haunt her.

I know she is a spoilt brat and I don't really care whether the video was intentionally released by herself or somebody who wants to get back at her did, however, she is human, not perfect, humans make very stupid mistakes and she is very young woman at her age to having the whole Ghanaians and others alike speak against her.

Somebody should hold her very tight and console her.

I DON'T WANT THIS GIRL TO COMMIT SUICIDE which I know she can because most painful experiences like this one only lead to tragic endings. This is the time she will know which of her friends are really for and with her; which I know all of her friends would vanish for her to be really lonely and fight this fight alone because we live in a world where nobody wants to be associated with failure. This is really bad for her.

I really liked and still like this girl---even from the very first day she gained fame in Ghana because she made me laugh at some time back when I was really down.

Somebody hold Rashida Black Beauty before suicide fall on her.

Please, the insults are enough, already.

Nwansina so what?

JHS student beats mum up with belt before teachers at PTA meeting

Junior High School(JHS) student beats mum with belt before teachers at PTA meeting. Wanezi High School teachers
Wanezi High School teachers had the shock of their life when an allegedly abysmal performing student allegedly removed his leather belt and whooped his mother like a child on Saturday afternoon in their(and other visiting parents) faces.

A staff member of the school said the student allegedly got infuriated when his mother validated a statement made by one of his teachers that he is playful and needed to work harder.

According to this staff member who refuses to be named, “A female teacher attempted to intervene but the boy, who seemed possessed, roughly pushed her away and she fell to the ground. There was no controlling him. He was like a raging bull that was prepared to destroy anyone and anything in his path.

“Even male parents seemed afraid of him. He really became wild. I suspect there is something we don’t know about this incident that triggered him off. The fact that the teacher said he was playful and his mother agreed, seems too trivial.”

The matter was taking to the
Matabeleland South police in Zimbabwe and their spokesperson Inspector Philisani Ndebele said “The school is dealing with the issue as an internal matter. If there was police presence, the officers may have been there on other business."

University at age 42, Otiko Afisa Djaba reveals what caused her delay. Gender, Children and Social Protection minister...
Ghana's Gender, Children and Social Protection minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba in an interview on Accra-based Starr FM this morning with host Francis Abban has revealed that she "...end up going to the university at 42" and the reason for her tertiary educational delay is something every fertile woman at some point life would have to go through.

Hon. Otiko Afisa Djaba revealed as she stated the cause of the delay to be "Pregnancy curtails your productivity. I had to take 10 years out of my life deliberately to care of my children. And so it makes you defer your education. That is why I will end up going to the university at 42 and somebody will be asking me about national service. It was a deliberate program that I decided for myself. But for a girl who gets pregnant whether deliberately or accidentally before she is 18 that is unacceptable. It is an injustice to yourself if it is deliberate...."

Counselor Lutterodt Condemns Stephanie Benson for 'indecent' dressing but Commends Samira Bawumia for the opposite, and Charges Ghana women activists to speak against the 'nakedness' of the former at the Ghana Music Honours 2017

Indecent dressing: Counselor Lutterodt Condemns Stephanie Benson but Commends Samira Bawumia
To add to the condemnations, Counselor George Lutterodt has vehemently condemned the 46-year-old Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Stephanie Benson for what according to him, is improper and indecent dressing and outfit of her when she appeared as one of the invited-guests for the Ghana Music Honours 2017 and to present an award to Ghanaian songstress, MzVee.

Samira Bawumia at Ghana's 60th Independence Anniversary
The Reverend, marriage and relationship counselor was in a morning program dubbed 'Family Matters' on Starr FM(with three other persons including the host) and he passed the below comments before the start of a discussion on the responsibility of a man in marriage.
He first commended the wife of the Vice President of Ghana, Samira Bawumia as he said she is well trained due to how she carried herself during Ghana's 60th Anniversary celebration at the Independence Square in Accra on 6th March, 2017 and was decently dressed.

This is what he said, "Let's commend the wife of the Vice President(Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia). The woman, she is well trained. I say she is well trained...you see in life when people are sitting down watch their face. Constantly she was smiling. And this is to show that Bawumia is doing well---he is getting shine because of the wife, because everywhere she goes...this is not to mean that the rest who came there are not properly dressed or something, But I like women who are decently dressed. This is Ghana!"
Stephanie Benson at Ghana Music Honours 2017
Though he didn't mention the name of Stephanie Benson in his comments, his description makes us believe she is the person he is talking about because the singer-songwriter made news for herself at the music honours for her kind of dressing and amount of skin she 'exposed'.
Stephanie Benson at Ghana Music Honours 2017
This is what he said, finally, "As indecent as what happened at Ghana honours MUSIGA. I don't know if you were there. That honours they did? Can you find a woman who was naked whilst we are celebrating Ghana? The women activists should come out and say something about this nakedness of a...not a small girl---a mother! Not partially naked...fully naked in front of children. What is that? Ghana at 60?"

Read Blakk Rasta's interview on BBC Focus on Africa plus his views on Barack Obama and Donald Trump

Blakk Rasta interwied on BBC Focus on Africa, talks about Obama and Trump

Check out the full unedited text of Ghanaian reggae musician, Blakk Rasta's interview on BBC Focus on Africa a moment ago with Audrey Brown(interviewer) as he talked about Barack Obama as the first black man president in America, why he likes him, and Donald J. Trump plus why he doesn't like him and more.

Source: sasughana

These were the raggae artiste's first words on Barack Obama (outgoing American president) for the start.

"Well, I am so proud of him for the fact that a black man has bee been able to go in there and he got a second nod for a second term...for me I think that it is great achievement...I mean he has been able to show everybody---every tom dick and harry that yes I mean a black man is able to do what people thought originally that he couldn't do. So for me has done well..."

These were the reggae musician's views on Barack Obama, his government and his foreign policy achievements with regards to Africa.

"Yes! There was a lot of hype because that was the first time a black man was coming in there. Some people thought  that God was coming to take over. Some peoole had a lot of expectations---beyond human expectations. No, not at all. I have never rated any human being beyond his human capabilities. So for me, he has done very well. I mean there was a lot of mess when he came...terrorism all over the place, bombs were flying, people were being cut into pieces.

"Well, yes. I mean bombs flew. I am talking in terms of comparing him to some other people. He was a more peaceful president.

"We had dinner together in 2009. It was a wonderful meeting. For me I couldn't just believe it that he decided to come to Ghana as his first stop on his African tour. And he gave us some very inspiring speeches here and there. It was marvellous, it was wonderful."

And these were Blakk Rasta's views on and reasons why he doesn't like the American president-elect, Donald Trump.

"For real. No, I don't, I don't, at all. Well I mean Donald Trump before he became president, I neher thought for once that he would ever we be president. Donald Trump has said a lot of terrible things against Muslims, He said a lot of things against black people and he has also said a lot of things against General immigration. They did! and a few days after he won the elections those things vanished from his website. He started going back on some of the things that he said I mean during the campaign period. For me, he is not a courageous leader. For me, he is not a leader at all."

Lastly, according to Blakk Rasta, he thinks Donald Trump is dumb.

"I think he is. I think he is. I mean I will always change my mind when people decide to turn a better leaf. I don't think that he stands for anything. Not at all. He is changing almost everything. Certainly, I am looking forward to that. And I will be the first person to sing a song for him."

On BBC Africa: Manifest Interviews Grandfather, Prof. J.H. Kwabena Nketia

Manifest interviews Professor JH Kwabena Nketia, Grandfather on BBC Africa
Below is the full unedited text of Ghanaian musician, Manifest interviewing his Grandfather and emeritus professor of music at the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, Professor J.H. Kwabena Nketia, 95, on BBC Focus on Africa.

Manifest interviews Grandfather Prof. J.H. Kwabena Nketia BBC Focus on Africa
Introduction by the interviewer (rapper Manifest)
We are sitting in front of the old African Institute building. And I am here with my 95 year old grandfather, Professor J.H. Kwabena Nketia. As a young person who often wonders about days past and about how life as a Ghanaian was in the 60s 50s before colonial times. I am fortunate enough to have a prime resource to go to my grandfather who is 95 and still sharp as a tack.

Mr. Grandpa, I think my first biggest question was. What do you see as the biggest difference between Ghana back then and Ghana back now?

"Well, first the independence period as an exciting period because we were beginning  really to accept ourselves as Africans and so forth and so on---trying to be on our own when we became conscious of the fact that we were colonial. For me it was an interesting period because we had a few revolutionary people like the musician Amu who suddenly discovered his culture and wanted to wear African clothing and teach African kind of music and so forth." - Grandpa

For people who don't know I guess we can explain Ephraim Amu as a pioneer in the study of African music and Ghanaian music.

"Yes, he was a pioneer...he was a musician who wanted to follow his own culture and wanted to perform African music, teach African music and so forth. He was the first to become conscious of the fact that colonial era was making us despise our own culture.

"Certainly, many cultures borrow. There was a scientist who said that "all cultures borrow." What is important is how you use what you borrow." - Grandpa

Judging from what I here from you, there were conscious efforts made very early in the beginnings of Ghana by... yourself to find a careful balance between the things that we learn from the western world and being able to create new traditons and combining the two and it is a difficult thing to do nowadays in Ghana---We are very exposed but I think I have greater resolve to maybe seek more from tradition and to seek more from an authentic Ghanaian way of being.

"Anytime you move out of your culture to another culture and to other cultures you a're collecting all kinds of ideas that you are able to bring into your own composition. The foundation is in your culture. That is what supports you." - Grandpa

Okay Grandpa, one final question. Do you like my music?

"Yes, yes, yes. Well, I am learning something from your way of...you know the kind of emphasis you bring into your thing. "Creativity is not just a one shot thing you know. It is a continuous thing and life's experience will shape whatever you are doing in terms of a creative result emerging from it." - Grandpa
