Moments after the MTV Africa Music Awards Kwazulu Natal 2015 which saw Stonebwoy winning no award; Shatte Wale tweeted, "some ghanaians are too popular in america not africa lol".

Stonebwoy reacted to this statement in an interview on an Accra-based radio station, Starr FM.

His mannger, Blakk Cedi followed suit on social media this morning with this post, "Did I just hear somebody say some artiste are known in America more than in Africa?

1. At least Stonebwoy, sarkodie and Samini were recognized by their nominations.

Borga you better work hard and stop the hate..Yourself and Stonebwoy have a lot of work to do as artiste from Ghana to be out there in Africa and the world.. Lets all ‪#‎GoHigher‬ my brother..
